Happy weekend Pittsford! Hope everyone has had a chance to get out and enjoy this spectacular weather! Even though nights are cooling off, and the winds of autumn are here, that doesn’t mean it’s time to hibernate yet! There are TONS of fun fall things to do here in town, and we’re here to give you the scoop!!
Corn Maze Craze
Now that we’ve enjoyed the summer sweet corn, it’s time to put those corn stalks to use! Visiting a corn maze is a great spot to bring your sweetheart if you’re looking for some adventure, or an exciting activity for the whole family. One of the best corn mazes around is at Long Acre Farm in Macedon. This is a great spot for everyone- they have a full sized maze for adults and families, and a smaller kid-sized maze for the kiddos! They even have “moonlight” maze times for a spookier activity. They have plenty of other fun fall things for the family- wagon rides and a corn cannon!
Speaking of apples, grab the family and enjoy an afternoon of picking at a local orchard! G & S Orchards is one of all time favorite u-pick spots! They currently have over a dozen apple varieties in season, so if you are looking for the perfect snacking apple, or just the right baking apple, they are sure to have what you need!!!
And it just wouldn’t be fall in Pittsford without a gallon (or several gallons!) of apple cider! Many local farms in the area have fresh pressed cider available- we happen to love Shutts Apple Mill in Webster, but you can even score some delicious cider at Wegmans! You can’t beat a fresh crisp glass, but check out some other awesome things you can do with cider:
There is so much to do in our area in the fall. It’s so much fun to cozy up with loved ones, and enjoy the outdoors! What is your favorite fall tradition here in Pittsford?
