The 4th of July is just around the corner. It’s one of our favorite days of summer, and there are so many ways to celebrate. We’ve put together a list of things happening out & about and some stay-at-home alternatives. As we celebrate our Nation’s Independence, we want to thank those who have fought for our freedom. Wishing everyone much fun & time with loved ones this 4th! Check out our revised guide to July 4th Pittsford NY!
For the Hit-the-Towners
So you wanna get up and get out to celebrate this year! We hear ya loud & clear! There are TONS of great festivities happening around town, here are some of the highlights:
Celebrate our Nation’s Independence with an All-American game of baseball! The Rochester Redwings will be playing a home game versus the Buffalo Bisons. The game starts at 7:15, and they’ll finish off the night with some awesome fireworks! Get there early for a pre-game autograph! The players will also have patriotic uniforms that will be auctioned off, so get in on the game!
There are no fireworks in the town of Pittsford this year, but there are plenty of other options out there! Our pick? The Downtown Fireworks display! Festivities begin on the Main Street Bridge, from South Ave to Exchange. People gather at 7 p.m. to hear the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra on the Main Street Bridge. The fireworks light up the skies at 10 p.m. Don’t want to trek into the city? Henrietta is just around the bend and they have some great events. For the Stay-at-Homers
Looking for a more mellow 4th of July? With a hectic schedule, we sure can’t blame you! If you don’t want to navigate a crowded parking lot, or you need to stay home to console your anti-firework puppy, you can still have a great 4th:
From breakfast all the way until late night snacks, we’ve got some star-spangled ideas that are simply Delish. Well, actually, they are from Delish! So many options to choose from including a great guilt free section and we’re all about saving the calories.
Game on for the 4th
This game is for kids of all ages. For the record, an 83 year old won last year. Kill two birds with a dessert that doubles as a fun activity. And, it turns out watermelon is good for you.
Water Balloon Mayhem
It’s time to up your water balloon game, especially since you can buy an apparatus that fills and ties them off for you! (you’re welcome). We love the idea of water balloon volleyball and water balloon squat relay that we found on Time2saveworkshops.com.
Whatever your plans for this 4th of July, we hope you & your family enjoy! We are so thankful to be part of this community and this great nation.
